Manila Killa – The Kick (Dirty South, Swedish House Mafia, Hans Zimmer & Coldplay) Official Release

by BeaconNews on April 12, 2012
DC-based DJ and producer Manila Killa found inspiration for his latest work in the film Inception. “ ‘The Kick,’ as it is described, is a particular method to awaken a sleeping person from their dream. That feeling of falling and suddenly waking up – that’s the direction I was going for in this track,” Manila Killa said in an interview with Beacon. Today, we’re happy to announce the release of his latest track, “The Kick” currently available for download at the bottom of the page.

The track mixes “Time” from Hans Zimmer’s score for Inception with “Greyhound” by Swedish House Mafia, “Fix You” by Coldplay, and “Walking Alone” by Dirty South. “It’s up to you to interpret what this track will make you feel,” said Manila Killa, “so please let my music course through your eardrums and spark emotions usually unfelt.”

Manila Killa’s promotional photography was produced by NGO Photography. The cover art was produced by Nick Rice of Beacon Records.

We are excited for our partnership with Manila Killa, and we look forward to bringing you more releases in the future, so stay tuned. “This track is about a comeback,” says Manila Killa, “a sort of awakening, in my music career with Beacon Records and the rest of the world.” Below are a selection of photos taken by Mr. Nicholai Go of NGO | Photography.
